1. Questions about the moving of containers.
- What do we do, where do we move?
- Is there enough space for the move to take place?
- Are there facilities in the new space?
DGASPC: We want the moves to be made according to the primary needs of the refugees.
POA CHIEF: The containers will be moved after the priests tent, starting with the DGASPC. Authorities told us that the space for the location of the containers is not limited, so the area will be organized according to the availability of NGO containers. On Monday or Tuesday at the latest the move will take place. I will discuss with Major Ruscan this week and we should have more information by the beginning of the week.
Rădăuțiul Civic: I propose that the current order of the containers should be maintained after the actual move. Keep in mind that we need power supply, but at the same time it is not safe to place a tent/container near them. Toilets present another problem that requires a practical decision as well as the running water supply to the containers needs to be considered. The place for the ISU minibuses that are made available to the refugees when it comes to transportation should also be considered.
UNHCR proposes that the move could be made as follows:
If there are several organisations providing the same services they should be positioned in the same location to facilitate the services offered to refugees as practically as possible. If an organisation with the same field of activity cannot provide a certain type of service, there will be no need to “move” refugees to other locations.
UNHCR’s proposed section structure in the new location:
In the initial department to be positioned organizations providing information about services available in Siret customs, child protection information, legal information, PSEA ( Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) information, etc.
In the next department, refugees can benefit from services in the medical field with support for people with disabilities as well as a place for mother and child.
Then availability from the food department followed by transport.
2. Surfaсe area
DGASPC: propose a meeting with the authorities to establish exactly what the surface area of the site is that has been specially prepared for the relocation of the organisations. Also here it is desired to create a new excel document with all the organisations where all the important aspects will be mentioned regarding the required surface area, services provided and contact.
During 08.07.2022 the organisations will complete the excel document on the organisation, then it will be brought to the attention of the authorities from whom a clear answer is expected in terms of available space.
