1. Services offered to refugees by Star of Hope

It provides accommodation in its own centres, food, wheelchairs, children’s playground, and transport.

A project currently underway at the centre in Dorohoi, has as its target group Ukrainian men, for whom support groups and activities are organized, with the aim of better integrating these men into the community. It is intended for the project to be extended to Suceava county.

2. Proposal of actions for the year 2023 for refugees

The President of Star of Hope noted the need for refugee children to participate in formal education programs in schools. Another situation is registering and even receiving a free consultation with the family doctor, an activity that has become difficult due to the administrative system of the authorities.

3. Support legal services for children

DGASPC supports mothers with children through the Blue Dot point, including filling in the legal documents accompanying the children, where appropriate. It also provides these services for the Vicovu de Sus border crossing point

4. Siret Border Crossing Point transit situation

Head of the Siret Border Crossing: transit is approximately constant in both directions, both entering and exiting the country. The situation of trucks forming long queues at the exit of the country is due to the fact that every year, at this time, the transit flow of goods is high, a situation to which, this year, the war crisis in Ukraine is added. All departments are optimized to ensure the maximum possible flow, the average of trucks checked when crossing into Ukraine is approximately 500 trucks in 24 hours.
