1. The flow of refugees
In the last three weeks, there was a difference between the number of people that left and entered Romania. On average, about 3,000 people entered Romania every day, and 4,500 people returned to Ukraine.
2. Signing the report from the last meeting
As a follow up from the last meeting, the Advanced Operative Point create a table where all the organizations present at the Siret border crossing point are listed. The coordinators are invited to sign this table, thus acknowledging the mentions from ISU presented at the previous meeting and contained in the minutes of the meeting (attached to the respective table).
3. Changes to the border camp
- Due to the fact that during the week, there was a very strong storm, all the tents were cleaned.
- Save the Children:
- The children’s tent of Save the Children has been moved to the front, near Info Point. Thus, parents with children can go to the tent, even if no one from the organization is present. If parents need to pick up some baby supplies, they can go to the Save the Children tent near Blue Dot.
- JDC:
- JDC does not have staff for 24/24 anymore, they limited the staff presence to cover only the day.
4. Accommodation for refugees in Greece
- MdM Greece offers accommodation for vulnerable people. If you know organizations that are interested in sending people to Greece or refugees that want to arrive in Greece, you can provide Stratos details, representing MdM Greece.
5. Any other business
- Save the Children has a mobile team that is going to refugees that are living in private homes. If you have information about refugee families, please contact the Save the Children team to provide information.
- The Foundation Star of Hope has available places in Iași and Dorohoi for people with disabilities. Accommodation in Suceava will be available in a few weeks. You can contact the Star of Hope team if you know people with special needs.
- MEDU – Alice will leave, but she will be replaced by a new coordinator. MEDU will be in Siret for at least two more months.
