1. Parking
- The parking lot was open on the left side.
2. The increased flow of people crossing the border
- The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has a cash distribution program. In this context, the number of people crossing the border has increased, as there is a significant number of people that are entering Romania in order to sign up for the Red Cross;
- Money can be received by the Ukrainian refugees who are living on the territory of Romania. People are verified in the field by the Red Cross teams;
- The people who take commissions for registration in the application have nothing to do with the project or the Red Cross;
- CNRR notified the authorities, including by written notification to the Police;
- Because people cannot be identified on Romanian territory, certainly those who cross the border just to register in the application, will not receive this financial aid;
- CNRR – In the last 10 days, the traffic has increased by over 3000 refugees (from about 4000 people to about 7000 people). On the pedestrian side there are at the moment of the meeting a number of 200-300 people waiting to enter Romania;
- This problem will be solved on the Ukrainian side. In this regard, the Suceava Red Cross contacted, through the Romanian Red Cross, counterparts from Ukraine with the request to set up an information point in Ukraine, before the border crossing point.
3. Update organizations on Siret. help
- In the next period there will be an update of the information about the organizations that are present in the Siret customs. In this regard, the coordinators will be contacted to provide information about the presence of organizations at the border, as well as what services they can offer for the refugees. To update the information on Siret. help, each organization can send this information to colleagues from AMURTEL.
4. Any Other Business
- Some of the groups that crossed the border in the last few days have entered some closed tents, causing damage. There will be a discussion with ISU staff to ask them to direct the groups who do not need humanitarian support to the parking lots, outside the camp at the border crossing point;
- Message Red Cross: Mr. Dediu asked for the support of the other people present at the Siret border in order to contribute to the correct information of the refugees and that they be told that the money is only for refugees who are settled in Romania and that these people will be checked;
- Good Neighbors: Rachel is the new coordinator of Good Neighbors in Suceava County, replacing Francesca from the end of this week.
