- DGASPC – Recently, the number of cases of unaccompanied children passing through Siret customs registered a significant increase, which generated increased pressure on the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC). To deal with this phenomenon, it was proposed to consider the implementation of a third work shift for DGASPC colleagues, so that they are also present at night. DGASPC’s mission is to ensure protection and adequate assistance to children in vulnerable situations, and the situation of unaccompanied children arriving at Siret customs is one of the organization’s main concerns.
- SOH-The situation with the intentional attacks near the Chernivtsi region and the major risk for this area due to refugees is an extremely serious problem. Given the increasing threats from the Russian military and the large number of refugees passing through Siret customs, the situation is becoming increasingly critical. The Chernivtsi region faces a major risk from nearby Russian military attacks, and this directly affects refugees who have sought shelter and safety in this area. The need to leave the country through Siret customs turns into a survival measure for these vulnerable people.
- The Bucovina Institute has demonstrated outstanding commitment to support Ukrainian refugees fleeing conflicts in their region. In the context of developments near the Chernivtsi region, the number of refugees has increased significantly, and the Bucovina Institute has been actively involved in providing them with humanitarian assistance and the necessary support. The Bucovina Institute’s efforts are not limited to providing emergency aid, but also aim to establish sustainable programs to meet the long-term needs of refugees. Thus, they receive medical assistance, food, shelter and basic necessities, improving living conditions in particularly difficult situations.
